Halloween Movie Night With HERSHEY®

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of HERSHEY® for SheSpeaks. All opinions are 100% mine.
family movie night

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!

Since summer has finally come to an end and the kids are back in school, we’ve been trying to find ways to spend time together as a family amongst our busy schedules.  We spent a lot of Friday nights this summer having “Movie Night” at our house and Bennett loved it. He has been begging me to watch the Ghostbusters lately. So, we settled on the old cartoon version, since I knew the real movie might actually scare him. I decided to turn our regular movie night with popcorn into a full-fledged Ghostbusters themed movie night, complete with our favorite HERSHEY ® candy from Walmart.

We bought themed pajamas for all of us (yes, they make them for adults, too!) but unfortunately, they didn’t have any that came in Sydney’s size. I didn’t want to leave her out, so I thought it would be funny if we dressed her up as a little Marshmallow Man  and she absolutely loved it!

How to spice up your movie nights!

To add to our Halloween Ghostbusters night, I popped some popcorn and added it to this Slimer bowl. We added some “Ectoplasma Energy Drink” labels to some green juice bottles. Then added a logo to some green gelatin cups, and of course added in some of our favorite HERSHEY ®  Treats!

I picked up the HERSHEY® 100 piece assortment at Walmart. Walmart is always the one-stop-shop for all things Halloween, all season long. The assortment bag gives you so many varieties – you can’t go wrong.

We all had so much fun! I thought this was such a great idea to get us all into the Halloween spirit! We have plenty of Hershey’s candy left over to give out on Halloween! However, I still plan to make a run back to Walmart to get a refill! I love Halloween time and it’s even more fun now that we have kids and can celebrate as a family.

No matter how you and your family celebrate Halloween, your celebration will be the best on the block with your favorite treats from HERSHEY®  at Walmart, so be sure to stock up and enjoy them all season long!

6 Amazon Outfits That I’m Loving Right Now

(this post contains affiliate links. I earn a small commission if you chose to purchase anything through my links at no additional cost to you)

A Quick Hello…….

Before I share the Amazon outfits I am loving this week, I just wanted to say……Hey y’all! I hope you are having a great week so far! It is fall break here this week (I know, can you believe its here already?) so I have been busy with the kiddos. We are going to Nashville this weekend without the kids though, so I am excited about that!

The hubby and I will be visiting our favorite place to stay, the Gaylord Opryland Hotel! We went with the kids back in February (right before the tornado hit) so I am excited to go back with just the two of us this time! The Graduate Hotel also just opened up in Nashville recently and its apparently all decked out in Dolly Parton decor. Obviously I really want to stop there as well! In a few weeks we are also going to Amelia Island for the first time as a family! I am so looking forward to traveling again, even with our masks on!

Now Onto the Good Stuff!

I’ve been sharing some outfits lately over on Facebook that I really love, so I wanted to share them here as well. My favorite item lately has been this fedora and I have been wearing it nonstop lately! I have never owned a fedora before, so I am wondering why it has taken me so long to actually buy one!

My other favorite for this fall has been color blocked cardigans. I think I have purchased about 4 of them so far, but love the option to be able to wear them with a different tees (like the one below). If you haven’t heard me say this by now, my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE item from Amazon so far has been the Moto jacket that you see below. The quality is so good, they are well made and are super soft! I bought one in black and in the leopard print, but the leopard print is definitely amazing!

I have linked all of my recent Amazon favorites below, so I hope you like them!

The Perfect Packable Dress For Summer

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases

This post is sponsored by Tidal Labs on behalf of Banana Republic?however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Dress, C/O | Shoes | Earrings, C/O| Sunglasses

As you know, my husband and I had the opportunity to take a Baby Moon last month to Charleston, South Carolina. Neither one of us had ever been to Charleston before, and when we told several people we were going there we got the same response: “It’s going to be hot!” Although I was really excited about seeing a new place, being 30 weeks pregnant in the summertime (and traveling through the deep south) I was a little afraid at how uncomfortable I would be and what I could possibly wear pregnant to keep cool. I found this gorgeous dress from Banana Republic and thought it would be perfect for our trip.

The dress is non-maternity, but I knew if I sized up, I could get away with wearing it pregnant. The dress is made of 100% polyester, a super light fabric that moves, so I knew it would definitely keep me cool. I also liked that it has a wrap-effect front with a side tie at the waist, to help make the dress look more shapely on my figure and not like I was wearing a mumu (I find this can be tricky when wearing dresses while in your second or third trimester!) This dress was also great to pack, since the fabric is so light, it barely took up any room in my suitcase! I also recently got these cute red sandals from Banana Republic that would be so cute with this dress (I didn’t get them until after our trip). I love pairing red and navy together for the perfect nautical look! The sandals are really comfortable and I like that they are the perfect height for me (especially while being preggo!)

Banana Republic has an a fabulous Summer Dress Collection right now, and you can get 40% off of your $200+ order when you use code “BRDREAM” at checkout.

As far as my pregnancy is going, I just hit the 33 week mark today. That means I have only 40 days left until she arrives! I can’t decide if that’s soon or still so far away! Our 3-D ultrasound appointment a few weeks ago was amazing! Baby girl is still in the breech position (just like her brother) and she cooperated enough so that we got some great pictures of her sweet little face! I can’t stop staring at her photos and can’t wait to see what she looks like in person! She is definitely running on out of room in there, and I feel like I can’t get any bigger! I am definitely ready for her to come, but need her to stay put for a few more weeks! I’ll be updating y’all soon!

Baby Moon In Charleston, South Carolina

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases

With our baby girl’s due date quickly approaching, my husband and I decided to take a mini trip to the beach (all by ourselves!) before we become a family of 4!? We knew we wanted to go to the beach, but I also wanted to keep our drive under the seven hour mark from Atlanta (being almost 30 weeks preggo, I really wanted to keep my car time to a minimum!) Since neither one of us had ever been to Charleston before and it was only 5 1/2 hours away, it was an easy decision for us!

Where to Stay

I really knew nothing about Charleston and wanted to stay at a hotel that was right on the beach. There are actually only a few hotels located right on the water, so we had to stay on the Isle of Palms (about 12 miles outside of the city) to do that. Since it was the high season when we went, almost everything was booked. We really wanted to stay at the Wild Dunes Resort, but were unable to find dates that worked for us, but hopefully next time we visit we can stay there! We ended up staying at the Palms Resort and it was okay, but nothing to write home about.

Where to Eat

When we got into Charleston, we stopped at the Charleston Visitor’s Bureau to pick up our Charleston Heritage Passports for touring later. While we were downtown, we popped into a little Donut shop, Glazed and got two gourmet donuts to go (they were outstanding!).? After that, we headed to the Isle of Palms to get some lunch. Even though we didn’t get to stay at the Wild Dunes Resort, we wanted to check it out since it was so close to where we were staying. We enjoyed an amazing lunch there at one of their restaurants, Coastal Provisions.

For dinner that evening, we went to Poogan’s Porch, which came highly recommended from one of my friends. This place was BY FAR our favorite restaurant stop while we were in Charleston! Poogan’s is one of the oldest establishments in Charleston and they serve a Low country cuisine in a gorgeously restored Victorian Home. We had dinner there, but I heard they serve a mean brunch as well! One of my favorite things about the restaurant is that they had a mocktail menu! We started off with two appetizers, the fried green tomatoes and the pimento cheese fritters…they were RIDICULOUS! For our entrees I had their Pan Roasted Scallops and my husband had the BBQ Mahi Mahi. Both entrees were to die for and our service was impeccable! I HIGHLY recommend you eat here if you are ever in downtown Charleston.

After taking some pictures at Rainbow Row the next morning, we decided to try Hominy Grill (another restaurant that came highly recommended) for brunch and it too was amazing! Tom and I shared the Sweet Potato Waffles, the Heirloom Buckwheat Pancakes and their Curried Chicken Salad. One thing that we noticed while we were in Charleston is that we had amazing service everywhere we went.

The last restaurant we went to for dinner on our last night was Poe’s Tavern, located on Sullivan’s Island. I wasn’t feeling the greatest and didn’t want to drive too far, so we stopped here for a casual dinner. The food yet again impressed us as I enjoyed their fish tacos and Tom had the “Tell Tale Heart” burger.

What to Do

Dress: c/o | Shoes | Sunglasses | Earrings: c/o

Top: c/o The Swanky Stork | Shoes | Earrings, c/o

Definitely be sure to visit Rainbow Row for some gorgeous, historic scenery. I was having some major hip pain while we were there, so we unfortunately didn’t get to use our Charleston Heritage Passports. The Passports give you access to 12 museums, attractions and plantations in downtown Charleston:

  • The Avery Research Center
  • Aiken-Rhett House
  • The Charleston Museum
  • Charleston Library Society
  • Drayton Hall
  • Gibbes Museum of Art
  • Nathaniel Russell House
  • Edmondston-Alston House
  • Historic Charleston Foundation Festival of Houses + Gardens
  • Middleton Place
  • The Preservation Society of Charleston + Fall Tours of Homes & Gardens
  • S.C. Historical Society

I wish I was able to tell you more about these historic sites, but will have to tour them on our next visit. I was also told to go on a carriage ride while we were in town, but I felt guilty making a horse carry my pregnant booty around town while it was almost 100 degrees!

Swimsuit | Sunglasses | Earrings, c/o

While we were on our “Baby Moon”? we basically just enjoyed eating, sleeping in, sitting on the beach all day and not having any responsibilities for 3 days..THAT was heaven for us. My husband works crazy hours so it was nice to just wake up next to each other without an alarm clock or toddler waking you up!? If you are expecting a baby, I definitely recommend you take some time to get away with your hunny before the baby comes. I was 29 weeks pregnant when we went and am glad that we didn’t go any later than we did! I would suggest not going anywhere after 30 weeks, unless you are Wonder Woman..which I am definitely not with this pregnancy. Getting away for just three days was the perfect amount of time to feel refreshed and I couldn’t wait to get back home to our sweet Bennett!

30 Week Bumpdate

Dress: c/o | Shoes | Sunglasses | Earrings: c/o

Hey y’all! I finally made it! I have been dying to make it to the 30 week mark and I did it! I don’t know why 30 weeks is so significant to me, but it just seems like a good place to be at!? I can really start counting down the days now as I scheduled my c-section for August 31st which means only 60 days to go! Baby girl has been wiggling around a lot, giving me lots of heartburn and is currently sitting breech just like her big brother was. I know her position can still change, but as of right now I am sticking with the c-section. This week my husband and I got to go to Charleston for a little Baby Moon and it was GLORIOUS! I will be typing up a blog post from our trip very soon. Below is a little update of what has been going on with my pregnancy in last five weeks. I can’t believe I will be 34 weeks the next time I update y’all, I cannot wait!

30 Week Bumpdate

Size: Baby is as big as a Summer Cantaloupe! (and weighed 3.2 lbs at my appointment this week!)

Baby?s Gender: GIRL

Symptoms: lower back pain, some SI joint shooting pains down my hip (I have been seeing a prenatal Chiropractor weekly which has helped tremendously!) some nausea still and heartburn/reflux. I also getting up about three times during the night to pee!

Weight Gained: I?ve gained about 20-25 lbs. at this point. I haven’t felt up for exercising much lately, but am hoping to hit the indoor pool soon to start swimming.

Doctor Appointment update: I passed my Glucose test and also had an ultrasound this week just to check on the length of my cervix. My cervix length looked good, they said the baby weighed 3.2 lbs (right where she should be!). She’s butt-down as of right now and the tech said she even has some hair!

Currently working on: Finishing up the nursery and De-cluttering EVERYTHING! Its amazing how much stuff you accumulate with kids and I know its just going to get worse, so I have been trying to get rid of all the extra stuff I no longer need.

Food Cravings: Not really craving anything, but I have been eating a TON of cereal with fresh berries. Lately my stomach will go from feeling upset to starving in a matter of seconds. I also have been having a lot of acid reflux lately, so my appetite has been down when I’m feeling that.

Favorite thing this month: I got another prenatal massage and went on a 3 day Baby Moon to Charleston with my husband this week!

What I?m looking forward to: My 3-D ultrasound is finally here! We will get to see our baby girl in 3D in one more week! I also am looking forward to finishing the nursery and getting my house in order before she comes.

My Favorite Maternity Clothes + a 25 Week Bumpdate

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases

Top (maternity) and non-maternity version, c/o Pinkblush | Shorts (maternity, sold out, similar here) | Earrings | Shoes | Sunglasses

Hi there! I know it has been quite a while since I have posted (or even posted a pregnancy update), but this pregnancy has continued to kick my butt! I am finally feeling a little bit better at 25 weeks, but now I am HUGE and am starting to suffer all the aches and pains from having a large bump! Besides the aches and pains, I have been having a hard time finding anything that fits these days!? I told myself that I wouldn’t get too many maternity clothing this time since this will be my last pregnancy, but I have been dying to find clothes that fit, are comfortable and also are cute! One of my favorite maternity clothing shops is Pink Blush! I discovered them three years ago when I was pregnant with Bennett. With all the adorable spring and summer clothing coming out (and not being able to fit into any of it!) I wanted to feel good and stylish and decided to do that by picking out some items from the Pink Blush site that were super cute and colorful!

My favorite thing about Pink Blush is that they offer both maternity and non-maternity items. This makes it easy to shop through your entire pre-pregnancy and postpartum journey.? For instance, I wore this maxi dress postpartum with Bennett and actually just wore it to a baby shower the other day at 6 months pregnant! I HAD to get this off-the-shoulder top that I am wearing in these pictures today because I loved the the summery print and all of the colors (also available in a non-maternity version) Along with this top, I got this gorgeous floral maxi dress (also available in a non-maternity version) and this Ivory Dress which has been perfect to wear on a casual, daily basis!

Everyone always tells you that you show so much faster with your second pregnancy, but I never fully understood that until I experienced it on my own. Not only do you show sooner, but it also means you start to experience some of the negative symptoms sooner too! Right now I am probably the size I was with Bennett at 30 weeks, which for me means tailbone/SI joint pain! I recently started feeling this pain and need to start seeing a chiropractor before it gets any worse!

25 Week Bumpdate Below:

Size: Baby is as big as a head of cauliflower!

Baby’s Gender: GIRL (still working on her name)

Symptoms: Still suffering from nausea and throwing up (although not as bad as it has been!), sharp pains down my tailbone and overall uncomfortable feeling while sleeping, sitting etc.

Weight Gained: I’ve gained about 15-20 lbs! I’m 5 lbs heavier right now with this baby then I was with Bennett at the same time.

Doctor Appointment update: I had to go back for another anatomy ultrasound about 2 weeks ago because they couldn’t get a good view of her heart the first time (due to the position she was in). Everything looked great! Next up will be my glucose test in two weeks. I plan on eating jelly beans again like I did with Bennett instead of drinking that gross Glucola drink!

Currently working on: Transitioning Bennett to a big boy bed, potty training and getting the baby’s nursery together.

Food Cravings: a few weeks ago I was craving regular, Chickfila Chicken sandwiches and McDonald’s hot fudge sundaes, but now I am completely over them!

Favorite thing this month: Getting a prenatal massage from the Woodhouse Day Spa-Avalon. You can read my recap, here!

What I’m looking forward to: Getting a 3D ultrasound in 5 more weeks so we can see baby girl’s face! I’m also looking forward to hitting the third trimester.

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

The Woodhouse Day Spa-Avalon: Pampering Moms For Mother’s Day

This was a sponsored post, but all opinions are my very own

As a mom (or female in general!) one of my favorite gifts to receive is a gift certificate to the spa. Seriously, it seems like every birthday I ask for the same thing,? just a day at the spa for some alone time and pampering. When Mother’s Day rolls around nothing sounds better then getting in some time at the spa and I always hope that my husband forgoes the flowers and gets me a spa gift card instead. Lucky for me, the Woodhouse Day Spa-Avalon just opened up a few months ago and I got the opportunity to try out one of their awesome packages called? Great Expectations.

The Great Expectations Package (the perfect gift for an expecting Mom) includes their amazing Mellow Mama Massage, the Discovery Organic Facial, and a Lavender and Seaweed Sugar Scrub Pedicure.? When I arrived at the spa, I changed in the locker into a luxurious robe (which might have to go on my birthday? list for next year) and then got to wind down in their Relaxation Room full of cozy couches, blankets, dim lighting and fireplace that was so serene. I got to relax with a glass of water and some fresh scones to snack on (next time it will be champagne!).

I had my Mellow Mama Massage first and this was my favorite part. The Massage Therapist worked on my neck, shoulders, lower back, legs, feet (and she even massaged Farmhouse Stretch Mark Cream onto my stomach!) and it was heavenly. She also paid special attention to my hips which have been super tight since I have to sleep on my sides all the time.

After my massage, I had my facial and then finished with a luxurious spa pedicure. One of my favorite parts about the Woodhouse Day Spa was that before each treatment they would start with a a foot cleansing ritual and essential oil treatment to induce deep relaxation. I thought this was a really nice touch to each of the services that they offered and really helped you to relax. Before I left the spa, I was also given a little gift bag that each Mom gets when they get a Mellow Mama Massage. The bag included a baby bib, a little toy snail, an essential sleeping oil and a jar of Farmhouse Whoopie Cream (the most amazing body cream you will ever use!) which I also thought was such a nice touch and great finale to my whole experience.

The Woodhouse Day Spa is currently featuring some amazing Mother’s Day Packages , and when you spend $300, you also receive a little gift box that includes bath salts, a lavender eye pillow, a soap, body cream, and herbal tea all packed? inside a cute little wooden box ( a total bonus for husbands when you give your wives a gift card AND an actual present to open!)

If you are looking for a high-end day spa in the Alpharetta, Georgia area, I highly recommend the Woodhouse Day Spa-Avalon.? This place offers a one-of-a-kind pampering experience that will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and wanting more! We all know how hard it is to be a mom each day, so that’s why I plan to come back each month for the rest of my pregnancy to get their Mellow Mama Massage. Its important as moms that we take care of ourselves from the inside out!

Family Vacay At The DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases

I was invited as media to cover this event. All opinions are my own.

Choosing to take your family to Orlando, Florida can be quite overwhelming. Which parks should you go to? Where should you stay? And if you have a toddler, the most important question is, how easy will it be for me to access the parks from my hotel? (especially if your little one is still taking naps)

The DoubleTree By Hilton Orlando SeaWorld Resort helps simplify your trip by offering a gorgeous, completely renovated property with amenities and services that will make your trip a breeze.

My family had the opportunity to stay here last week and we had an absolute blast. When we checked in, we were given a bungalow-style room that was right next to one of the two pools on the property (which we all know is the best place to be when you have little ones and a bag packed full of pool gear). We were also only a few short steps away from the restaurants and lobby which was also very convenient.

We arrived in Orlando around dinnertime, so we enjoyed a dinner at the Laguna Restaurant, one of the restaurants on the property. The food was delicious and my favorite part was that they had a section of “mocktails” on the menu (perfect for this preggo). After dinner, we headed to the pool which is connected the Barefoot Bar which offers cocktails and food items as well. Bennett had such a great time swimming that he stayed in the pool until the sun went down!

The next day I attended a brunch put on by the hotel that was set up in the pavilion right next to the convention center.?The way the brunch was set up, allowed us to see what a wedding or special event might look like and I was completely blown away by the beautiful setup and the outstanding food. After brunch we took a tour of the new renovations and convention center.

The resort recently underwent a massive renovation and meeting space expansion. They elevated the property to accommodate even more business and leisure groups with new, state of the art venue space and services, complemented by welcoming outdoor lawns and complete renovations to public areas, alongside 1,020 refreshed guestrooms. Adding to the the existing footprint, the property branched out with this multi-million dollar transformation, building an additional 40,000 square feet of conference center and event space, bringing the property total meeting space square footage to more than 100,000 square ft. The re-imagined venues provide enhanced, state-of-the-art accommodations for meetings and events with upwards of 2,000 attendees.

After the brunch we took a shuttle from the hotel took us over to Seaworld (which is located right behind the hotel and is within walking distance if you choose to go by foot)

We had lunch with Shamu and then spent the day exploring the park (Bennett loved the kiddie area with all the rides!) When we were finished the hotel had a shuttle that took us back to the hotel. We ended up having dinner at Disney Springs that evening (only about a 10 min ride from the hotel) at Homecomin’ Kitchen and it was probably one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time!

IMG_9027The next morning we woke up and had an amazing brunch from the Laguna Restaurant and a shuttle from the hotel took us over to Seaworld’s water park, Aquatica for the day. We had such a fun day here and actually stayed all day long! (We must have ridden the lazy river around about 20 times at Bennett’s request that day). At 4:30 a shuttle picked us up and took us back to the hotel (which is literally right around the corner)

Another park that is right next to the hotel is Discovery Cove. We didn’t get a chance to visit Discovery Cove, but hope to come back when our kids are older to do some snorkeling and swim with the dolphins! This was our last night at the resort and the hotel put on the most amazing dinner for us up on the Harbor Terrace area. I cannot say enough about the food at the hotel! It was all so good and really gave me an idea of what it would be like to have a catered event there.

Dress: c/o Pink Blush, non-maternity version, maternity version?

We had such a wonderful experience at the DoubleTree Orlando at SeaWorld and were exhausted by time we left! My favorite part about this resort is that its really a relaxing oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but is still conveniently located for easy access to the sights and sounds of Orlando. I am so grateful that we got to have one last trip as a family of three before the baby arrives and am looking forward to our future adventures!
