Grab the kids and head to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel this fall for some ghoulish, family fun! Tom and I decided to take a little weekend getaway to Nashville last weekend and we stayed at our favorite hotel, the Gaylord Opryland. We went without the kids this time, but after seeing all the family activities they had for their fall event, Goblins and Giggles, we wish would have brought them along!
September 11th-October 31st, the Gaylord is celebrating Halloween for the first time in 15 years! With over six acres of beautiful indoor gardens, there is plenty of space to socially distance and they also have several cleaning and safety protocols in place throughout the entire resort!
Hide and Seek Scavenger Hunt
One of the activities that the resort has for kids is a fun Scavenger Hunt featuring Spookley the Square Pumpkin! There are eight hiding places throughout the resort where you have to find Spookley! Follow the clues solving puzzles to find the missing letters that lead to his whereabouts!

Jack O’Lantern Walk
One of my favorite parts of last weekend was seeing all of the pumpkins they had all around the lush gardens. I definitely recommend heading to the Delta area of the hotel to see them all! They had some really great ones featuring some “Music City” inspired carvings that were just ah-mazing!
The resort also offers trick or treating, we saw lots of kids dressed up in costumes throughout the resort making stops for candy!

SpookEasy
This was our favorite part of the Goblins and Giggles celebration! The American Craft Tavern put together a “SpookEasy” inside their little tavern area that opens at 6pm and becomes a “haunted” SpeakEasy. They have an entire menu of hauntingly delicious cocktails and several interactive wall hangings inside.

SoundWaves Water Attraction
This was also our favorite part of the trip since we were able to enjoy the outdoor area and attractions. Although the outdoor area is now closed for the season, the indoor water park is really amazing too! We took the kids back in March and they had an absolute blast!

As always, we truly had such an amazing time at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel! It was so nice to only drive 4 hours from Atlanta and feel like we had escaped to a lush tropical paradise! We had such a relaxing trip and it was so nice to have no responsibilities for once (sorry kids!) Now that we know about Goblins & Giggles though, we will definitely be putting it on our trip list for next year with the kiddos!
