As you know, my husband and I had the opportunity to take a Baby Moon last month to Charleston, South Carolina. Neither one of us had ever been to Charleston before, and when we told several people we were going there we got the same response: “It’s going to be hot!” Although I was really excited about seeing a new place, being 30 weeks pregnant in the summertime (and traveling through the deep south) I was a little afraid at how uncomfortable I would be and what I could possibly wear pregnant to keep cool. I found this gorgeous dress from Banana Republic and thought it would be perfect for our trip.
The dress is non-maternity, but I knew if I sized up, I could get away with wearing it pregnant. The dress is made of 100% polyester, a super light fabric that moves, so I knew it would definitely keep me cool. I also liked that it has a wrap-effect front with a side tie at the waist, to help make the dress look more shapely on my figure and not like I was wearing a mumu (I find this can be tricky when wearing dresses while in your second or third trimester!) This dress was also great to pack, since the fabric is so light, it barely took up any room in my suitcase! I also recently got these cute red sandals from Banana Republic that would be so cute with this dress (I didn’t get them until after our trip). I love pairing red and navy together for the perfect nautical look! The sandals are really comfortable and I like that they are the perfect height for me (especially while being preggo!)
Banana Republic has an a fabulous Summer Dress Collection right now, and you can get 40% off of your $200+ order when you use code “BRDREAM” at checkout.
As far as my pregnancy is going, I just hit the 33 week mark today. That means I have only 40 days left until she arrives! I can’t decide if that’s soon or still so far away! Our 3-D ultrasound appointment a few weeks ago was amazing! Baby girl is still in the breech position (just like her brother) and she cooperated enough so that we got some great pictures of her sweet little face! I can’t stop staring at her photos and can’t wait to see what she looks like in person! She is definitely running on out of room in there, and I feel like I can’t get any bigger! I am definitely ready for her to come, but need her to stay put for a few more weeks! I’ll be updating y’all soon!
