As a mom (or female in general!) one of my favorite gifts to receive is a gift certificate to the spa. Seriously, it seems like every birthday I ask for the same thing,? just a day at the spa for some alone time and pampering. When Mother’s Day rolls around nothing sounds better then getting in some time at the spa and I always hope that my husband forgoes the flowers and gets me a spa gift card instead. When I arrived at the spa, I changed in the locker into a luxurious robe (which might have to go on my birthday? list for next year) and then got to wind down in their Relaxation Room full of cozy couches, blankets, dim lighting and fireplace that was so serene. I got to relax with a glass of water and some fresh scones to snack on (next time it will be champagne!).

I had my Mellow Mama Massage first and this was my favorite part. The Massage Therapist worked on my neck, shoulders, lower back, legs, feet (and she even massaged Farmhouse Stretch Mark Cream onto my stomach!) and it was heavenly. She also paid special attention to my hips which have been super tight since I have to sleep on my sides all the time.

After my massage, I had my facial and then finished with a luxurious spa pedicure. One of my favorite parts about the Woodhouse Day Spa was that before each treatment they would start with a a foot cleansing ritual and essential oil treatment to induce deep relaxation. I thought this was a really nice touch to each of the services that they offered and really helped you to relax. Before I left the spa, I was also given a little gift bag that each Mom gets when they get a Mellow Mama Massage. The bag included a baby bib, a little toy snail, an essential sleeping oil and a jar of Farmhouse Whoopie Cream (the most amazing body cream you will ever use!) which I also thought was such a nice touch and great finale to my whole experience.
