Springtime in the ATL: The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival

March 16, 2018

This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of The City of Brookhaven; however, all
thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Spring is in the air, and for fellow ATLiens that can only mean one thing; It’s festival season! Atlanta always has an amazing line-up of festivals each year and the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival is the first to top the list next weekend on March 24th and March 25th!

The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival appeals to all kinds of people; car enthusiasts, fitness junkies and foodies- there?s
really something for everyone! This year’s festival is supposed to be bigger and better than ever-featuring more arts and crafts, a food court full of options, and nationally-known performers! Speaking of performers, two of my favorite music performers, Five For Fighting and Edwin McCain will be performing on Sunday, March 25th! There will also be other musical performances from Keith Anderson, Transviolet, Craig Morgan, and more!

One of my favorite things about the festival is that its family-friendly (your pooches are welcome to come too!) so that means I can bring my son Bennett and he can have some fun in the Kidz Zone. There truly is something for everyone; a car show featuring classic automobiles, an artist market featuring 100+ booths along the picturesque street that runs through Blackburn Park, and a food court featuring your festival favorites like cotton candy, corn dogs and refreshing beverages.

Are you a runner or a walker? Then be sure to sign up for? the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival 5K Run/1K Walk? happening on Sunday, March 25th. The race is a fundraiser for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and is also a qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race. Visit the 5k/1k Registration website to register!

Event Details:

WHEN: Saturday, March 24th (10am-7pm) & Sunday, March 25th (10am-6pm)

WHERE: Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA 30319

COST: FREE

I plan to attend the festival on Saturday, March 24th, so if you see me there, be sure to say hi! If you can’t make it to the event, be sure to follow me on Instagram, as I will be covering the event live on my Instastories. I can’t wait to attend this year’s Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival and hope to see y’all there!

Oh how I wish that my fianc? could get some time off work – we would take a roadtrip down in a heartbeat to experience this. Cherry blossoms are so beautiful! Thankfully there’s a cherry blossom festival in DC that’s only about an hour and a half away – so we may get to do that instead. But I hope you have the most wonderful time! You’ll need to post on Instagram stories and share all the pretty blossoms with us!
