One of my favorite retail stores, Kid to Kid is having a 25% off Anniversary Sale on November 15th! I haven’t always been keen on the idea of buying gently used items until I became a Mom!
When I was pregnant with Bennett and preparing for his arrival, I knew that I wanted everything in his nursery to be brand new. I remember friends of mine offering me some of their used baby items and not really being thrilled at the idea of having “used” items in my new baby’s nursery. This was before I knew any better. I was a brand new mom and had yet to see how fast babies and toddlers go through all kinds of things; clothing, toys, books, strollers, car seats, swings etc. in the blink of an eye!? It wasn’t until I attended my first Church consignment sale when Bennett was around six months old, that I realized that secondhand children’s items were pure gold for Moms!
Last October I discovered a children’s retail store down the street from me called Kid to Kid. I had heard of Kid to Kid before, but had never actually stepped foot into a store. I was looking for a last minute Halloween costume for Bennett to wear and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on it. At the time Bennett was only one and a half, so we weren’t going trick or treating quite yet.? I just wanted something for him to look cute in while we attended our neighborhood Trunk or Treat. I ended up finding an adorable Carter’s Racoon costume (among the 100’s of options they had there) and paid around $4 for it. Bennett looked so stinking cute in his costume (that he wore for about 30 minutes) and I couldn’t believe I had paid only $4 for such a great quality costume.
I recently went back to Kid to Kid and this time I was searching for a little tricycle or toddler bike of some kind. I walked right in and right by the door they had this red Radio Flyer tricycle that was in amazing shape for only $24.99! I ended up getting the tricycle along with several other great items at unbelievable prices. Here are some of the things that I got (all seen in my pictures):
Radio Flyer Tricycle, $24.99
Gap Superman Sweater, $5.99
Old Navy Shoes (brand new), $7.99
Frozen Ball, $.99
An Eric Carle book, $2.99 (this book sells for $19.99 brand new in stores!)
A Garbage Truck Toy with noises and lights, $4.99
A Battery-powered Bubble Gun, $4.99 (brand new, still in original packaging)
I walked out of there with so much stuff for Bennett and barely paid anything! I couldn’t believe all of the items they had for sale for such low prices(even items that were brand new or had never been opened before!) Bennett loved his new tricycle and all of the goodies I scored for him (he especially loved the garbage truck..he is OBSESSED with our neighborhood garbage truck, so he was really excited about it!)
It’s also nice to know that when Bennett has outgrown all of his items (and we’re done having kids) that I can take all of them to Kid to Kid and turn them in for cash! The Kid to Kid 25th Anniversary Sale will be happening at all of their store locations on Wednesday, November 15th. Everything in stores will be 25% off. When I bought my items last week, I was given a “Mystery Gift Card” at checkout. If you spend $25, you get one of these cards (worth up to $50) to spend from November 24-December 31. I will definitely be stopping by my local Kid to Kid next week, so I can take advantage of the 25% off (I have my eye on a Radio Flyer Covered Wagon that I saw, along with several other items I want to get) Be sure to check out my Instastories on November 14th when I go live in-store to scope out some fabulous deals and all the new inventory!?
