There’s nothing tougher?than motivating yourself for a workout after the weekend, but after Easter weekend?! Pffft, forget it. I’ve been really trying to get back into shape since having Bennett two years ago and it has been quite the challenge to find time to fit a good workout in. Since I work from home and take care of a toddler all day it sometimes feels impossible. I don’t think I have ever shared this before, but I am actually a certified Personal Trainer. I started training back when I was in college and went to school to have a career in Corporate Wellness. It ended up not being the right career for me, but I still have a deep background in the fitness industry. I am even a certified Perinatal Trainer and started training pregnant and postpartum moms back in 2005.
I also tried my hand at fitness competitions back between 2006-2009 and looking back I am still in awe of how I did those when I can barely motivate myself to go for a run these days. Right before I got pregnant I started to get into hot yoga and really love it because I feel like its both a physical and mental workout. I wish I was able to get in more sessions at the gym, but it has been tough with both my schedule and my husband’s. My resolution for 2017 was to take better care of myself (all around) so I am hoping to get some more exercise time in when I can. I try to at least do something each day, even if its just taking my son for a walk. I’ve also been doing a lot of HIIT workouts in my basement because I can do them during nap time and they only take around 30 minutes to do. Whether I’m going for a run or sweating in my basement, I ALWAYS like to have some motivating music to listen to. I thought I would share one of my favorite playlists with you in case you were looking for some Monday Motivation! ?You can listen to the songs below or see the typed out list below the Spotify list.
