Hey Atlanta Peeps! Are you looking for something fun to do this Friday night? If you love food as much as I do (and great music) you won’t want to miss this! Come join me and Macy’s as we celebrate Black History Month with Chef Marcus Samuelsson! Macy’s Culinary Council will be holding a special cooking event Friday, February 17th at 7:00pm at Lenox Square Mall. The event will be held up on the 3rd floor in the Macy’s Home Department and admission is totally FREE, so bring your friends and make your way down to Macy’s this Friday Night!
Master Chef Marcus Samuelsson will be sharing secrets and stories from his new cookbook, The Red Rooster Cookbook: The Story of Food and Hustle in Harlem. There will be plenty of delicious samples to enjoy, along with performances from the Harlem-based band, The Rakiem Walker Project and the NYC-based dance group, W.A.F.F.L.E!
While you are there, you’re going to want to check out some of the latest and greatest cooking gadgets for your kitchen (after Chef Samuelsson inspires you to whip something up of course!) and Macy’s is giving away a free copy of Chef Samuelsson’s new cookbook with any $35 Home product purchase made that night! The best part? You can get Chef Samuelsson?to sign your copy of?The Red Rooster Cookbook: The Story of Food and Hustle in Harlem right after the event! Be sure to RSVP for the event and you will receive a $10 Macy’s gift card when you arrive on Friday. You can go ahead and RSVP for the event, here. I am so excited and look forward to seeing some of you ATLiens this Friday! If you are thinking about going, be sure to hit me up on Instagram or Twitter and let me know so we can meet up! If you are unable to attend, be sure to follow me this Friday on Facebook and Twitter as I will be tweeting and posting live from the event!
