I am such a sucker for a peplum top. I love the look of a peplum top (and how you don’t have to worry about exposing your muffin top) so when I walked into the store and saw this gorgeous peplum with pink tulle underneath, it was love at first sight. This top also come in navy with black tulle underneath it and I recently just saw this striped tulle top online! Since I have an athletic build when it comes to my bottom half, I have to be careful when wearing a peplum top. If I pair a peplum with skinny jeans, I end up looking very disproportionate.? I decided to pair this top with a dark pair of flare jeans that I own. Another great option would be a pencil skirt (stay tuned, I may have to post this top again for an upcoming holiday look!)
I’m not sure what it is about blush-colored tulle that makes me think of pearls, but after going through several different pearl necklaces, I settled on this pearl cluster necklace that I have had forever. I picked this one up at the Loft outlet several years ago. I decided to add my gold pumps made by Ukies. Have you heard of Ukies before? They make comfortable heels that look fantastic. I own several pairs of them. I really don’t wear heels that often anymore, so when I do, I need to be comfortable. Ukies have a patented gel system in their shoes that have two dual layers. One of the layers is shock absorbing and the other layer helps with pressure distribution throughout the shoe. When I first got my Ukies, they only made pumps. Now Ukies makes all kinds of shoes including pumps, booties and loafers. They make a great comfort shoe that doesn’t sacrifice style.
I can’t wait to wear this outfit this holiday season. The tulle on this top makes it perfect to wear out, but it would be perfect to wear to the office as well. Its nice to see tulle on a top for once. I love buying unique items, so this top definitely had to come home with me. I’ve linked two tops with tulle, so be sure to let me know what you think about this trend in the comments!
