Happy Thursday!  I am super excited to be featuring two of Bennett’s new favorite toys, the Tree Top Adventure and Storybook Castle toys made by Manhattan Toy Company. If you have been following me for a while now or read my post about The Best Toys for Busy Toddlers, you will know that I am always on the hunt for new toys for Bennett that are both educational and will keep him occupied longer than two minutes. Both of these toys can be played with from a standing, seated or kneeling position, so they are great for both babies and toddlers. Both of these toys have four quadrants of activities that include doors and windows that open and close, character themed gliders that move along different tracks and multiple bead runs with colorful wooden beads support and encourage motor development.

Storybook Castle

The Storybook Castle is designed like a big, colorful wooden castle that features wooden princess and knight figurines, a snapping crocodile and activity center. Along with encouraging motor development, these features stimulate sensory learning, visual-spatial skills and shape learning. Bennett really loves opening and closing the windows, sliding the main door open and closed and even raising and lowering the flag of the castle.

Tree Top Adventure

The Tree Top Adventure is the older toy of the two. It was actually featured on the View-as the best of the Toy Fair feature and was chosen as one of the best toys of the year for 2014 by Parents Magazine. It was also the Scholastic Parent and Child Gold Star toys Award winner in 2014. Bennett loves to play peekaboo with the windows that open and close (he’s obsessed with opening and closing doors at the moment) and loves to spin the colorful blue and red knobs on the tree top.I had been looking at the Tree Top toy every time we were in Barnes and Noble and am so grateful that Bennett got a chance to try these out.

I really love all of the toys that Manhattan Toy Company makes. All of their toys are are designed in Minneapolis by their award-winning creative team. I admire how they still believe in imaginative play and how their toys reflect this belief. They also have high safety standards and use only non-toxic water based finishes and paints on their wooden toys, which I thought was so great. They also strive to use wood from sustainable forests for all of their wooden toys so I liked that they support the environment.  Most of their toys are sold in stores like Fat Brain Toys, Barnes and Noble, Bed Bath and Beyond and Buy Buy Baby. Tonight I will be giving away winner’s choice (Tree Top Adventure or Storybook Castle) on my Instagram page! Also if you want to receive 20% off your order, you can sign up for Manhattan Toy Company’s email list (and don’t forget free shipping and free returns on all orders!)  So if you are looking for great toy ideas for toddlers 12-24 months old, be sure to keep the Tree Top Adventure and Storybook Castle from Manhattan Toy Company in mind!
