Today I have joined up with Living In Color and Stylin’ In St. Louis as a Guest Blogger in their weekly Spotlight Link-up. This week’s trend is chambray!?Knowing that chambray was going to be this week’s trend, I asked myself, “what is the definition of chambray, really?” I have always thought of chambray as being all things denim, but if you look it up in the dictionary, it actually says this:

“a lightweight clothing fabric with colored warp and white filling yarns.”

Wow, that’s confusing. I tried to dig a little deeper since this definition is a bit confusing and found this article from Proper Cloth?that does a good job explaining what the differences are between chambray and denim. Now when I go shopping and I see chambray items, all I think about is this article!

I love this chambray dress, as I have worn it so many times with a hundred different options, because it is such a versatile piece. You may have seen me wear this dress?in a blog post for Memorial Day Weekend? or on Instagram?a few different times.? I got these adorable fringe sandals on sale and paired it with this gorgeous turquoise necklace from Purple Peridot that I just received in the mail. I can’t wait to wear this necklace all throughout the fall!
