Break Time and an Ingles Giveaway!

June 22, 2016

My husband and I decided take a little vacation last weekend and went to Florida. We had originally planned to bring our son with us, but my mom offered to babysit Bennett at the last minute, so we decided to go without him. I had ?a lot of mixed feelings about not taking Bennett and constantly went back and forth about whether we should bring him or not. Bennett is almost 14 months old and we haven’t gone anywhere since he has been born. The longest I have been away from him is for one night while my husband and I went into the city (not too far from our house).?
?
While on our little getaway, I missed Bennett like crazy, but despite missing him (and the 50 FaceTime calls) we had an awesome time. It was nice to take a little break and spend some one-on-one time with my husband. Since I am no longer teaching, I am watching Bennett full-time now. I try to get in some “Me Time” whenever I can. ?I try to take a 5 minute break during his nap times even if it just means sitting on my deck and reading, taking a bath or doing something for myself.
?
? During my mini breaks (and even on my vacation break!) My new favorite indulgence are Caf? Breaks pudding cups. I found them in the snack aisle at Ingles near the other pudding products. I bought them in the Caramel Latte and Mocha Latte flavor (also available in Chai Latte and French Vanilla Latte!)?
?
Caf? Breaks are gluten free, 100 calories or less per cup and don’t require refrigeration until opened. This was perfect for our trip to Florida, so I just threw them in my bag and then refrigerated them at the condo when we got there. When we were out at the pool and beach, it was a delicious snack to open up one of those cold pudding cups and have a little coffee flavored snack! Be sure to enter the giveaway below, and you could win a $250 gift card to Ingles!

After this weekend, I learned that as a new mom, its really important to take a break when you can. I think this is really important for your marriage too! I am happy to say that I survived my first trip away from Bennett and we are now planning a beach trip at the end of the summer to take him with us! How old was your child when you first took him/her to the beach? Any tips for this new Mama?

My kids are grown. I can't remember how old when we made first beach trip. I know we went camping when my daughter was just 18 months old.
