I have been DYING for one of these smarTrikes! This is the smarTrike?Spark Touch Steering 4 in 1 Trike and it is awesome! Bennett loved it. If you have never heard of the smarTrike, it is a tricycle that grows with your child. It has 4 stages that can adapt based on your child’s age:
Stage 1 (10 months+):?Parent-controlled trike: At 10 months, the baby is comfortable seated in the high back padded seat. At this stage the parent fully controls the trike.
?
Stage 2 (18 months +):?Guided trike: Once the baby has grown (+18M), the high back support is removed, while safety bar still protects the child. Parents fully control the trike.
?
?Stage 3 (24 months+):Training trike: At 24 months, fold in the footrest and let your child start learning how to pedal.
?
?Stage 4 (30-36 months):Classic trike: At 36 months, remove the parent handle, rotate the red navigator button and transform the trike from stroller mode to classic trike. Your child can now ride independently.
?
The Spark has a wide grip Touch Steering??parent handle, which allows you to steer the trike like a stroller, a fully
padded seat, a 3-point harness, and also comes with a large storage bag, a parent bag, a cup holder, and protective sun canopy.?
?
This was such a fun alternative to Bennett’s normal stroller at the park. Once he figured out where to put his feet and hands, he loved being pushed around. Whenever we stopped, he would pull his sippy cup out of the front cup holder and take a little swig! Although this is so cute, I couldn’t help but notice how my “baby” looked like a little boy while riding his new trike. I kept looking at him and thinking, “wow, hes so tall!” Bennett will be 13 months old next week and I am loving every age and milestone that comes along, but I miss him being so small.
This year has seriously flown by, and I don’t want to miss out on anymore time with him, and ?I have decided to leave teaching for a while and work from home to be with Bennett. This will be my last week as a teacher! ?I’m really happy about my decision, but also a bit scared!?
