Personalizing Baby B’s Nursery & A Giveaway

April 27, 2015
Well, exactly one week from today, I will be meeting my baby boy for the first time. I have been spending the last several months preparing for his arrival and wanted to share  some pics I took of his nursery after I converted my office space to his new room. I am getting super excited, but nervous as well. I will be holding my breath until I hear my son let out his very first cry noise.
We got this musical stuffed elephant from my brother and sister-in-law (its from Baby Braithwaite) for Christmas, and the elephant theme sort of just took off from there (along with my colors of navy and grey) I love monogrammed anything, so when I saw this throw pillow from Tiny Prints, I knew it would be the perfect addition to B’s nursery.
I also fell in love with this grey polka dot “Lets Snuggle” pillow from Tiny Prints. I loved how I could personalize it with our family name, and the polka dots were just too cute to pass up. I know I will be able to use this personalized pillow for years to come.
This chair is my favorite item in the nursery. It is so unbelievably comfortable, which will be perfect for all my late night feedings, snuggle sessions and reading books to my little man.
I’m really looking forward to getting some newborn pictures taken of my son once he arrives and getting them mounted onto a wrapped canvas like this one. This is one of my favorite pictures of me pregnant, so I wanted it to be a part of B’s nursery. It was so simple to do, that all I did was change this picture of myself to a black and white image and uploaded it onto the Tiny Prints website. The finished canvas literally arrived in the same week! (I can’t wait to tell B all about how much pain and suffering I endured for 10 months every time he looks at this! )
The gingham blackout curtains I got were the perfect pop of navy to add to the nursery.
I really wanted to have a chandelier in the nursery, but up here in New England, a lot of people don’t have central air (us included) I figured it would be more important to keep the ceiling fan instead. I did get this blue chandelier canvas as a gift from my husband a few years ago for my office, so I decided to keep it in the nursery.

Since we are so limited on storage and space in our house, we opted for this dressing table combo because of all the storage it had. I literally have all of his clothing in these drawers! The closet in this room is currently still housing all of my clothing.
